This is an optional aspect of the components of the PreViser suite of services. If you have an informational website, you can set your report options to include an "Oral Health Topics" section, referring your patients to it as an educational learning resource, to supplement the information in the Treatment Option Plans you give them. Including this website address on reports lets your patients know how to find your website later.

You may already have a website, in which case you can include that address on your reports. If you need a website or would like information on a patient-oriented educational website developed as a supplement to PreViser's services, please contact PreViser Support for details.

Note that there are two separate fields on the Options page where you can enter a website address. This way, if your practice has a website but you would like to offer the Oral Health Topics site to your patients as well, you can include both addresses on your reports. See the documentation about the Options page for details about where you can include your website address(es) on reports.

Accessing the Oral Health Topics website:

If you have checked the Oral Health Topics box on your Options page and entered the website address there, you can access that website directly from the PreViser application by clicking the Oral Health Topics button in the toolbar:

This provides you with a quick link to tutorial topics you can print for your patients to take home if they do not have Internet acess, or to display in your reception area.

Referring to the site on Treatment Option Plans:

Providing a reference to further information on Oral Health Topics is a valuable addition to the reports you prepare for your patients. On the Options and Printing Options pages, you can set your Report printing settings to include the reference to your Oral Health Topics website. Patients can then learn more about care strategies you may recommend to them.

Benefits to you and your practice:

By including online information as part of the services you offer your patients, you can supplement the Treatment Option Plans by providing a resource for your patients to gain further knowledge about their oral health. This strengthens the value of the services you provide to them and solidifies their confidence in you as a health care expert they can rely on to answer their questions.

PreViser can refer you to a website solution developed in conjunction with other PreViser services. The following information refers to that website. If you choose to sign up for this option, the website has links to educational tutorials on assorted topics (e.g. oral health conditions, treatment options, oral hygiene recommendations, etc.). The educational materials are authored by PreViser clinical experts.

Authentication:

Information posted on your Oral Health Topics Website is open to the public and requires no special login credentials for your patients to access the information there.

• HTML 4.0-compliant web browser
• 800 x 600 resolution x 16 colors (or better)
