Scientific Background of PreViser

Research

PreViser Technology has been scientifically shown to accurately quantify the risk of an individual developing periodontal disease. The results of the research validating this important toolset have been published in the Journal of the American Dental Association, May 2002.

On the next page, we will review the development, design and clinical validation of the accuracy of the PreViser RiskCalculator™.

Products

PreViser currently offers three coordinated products that allow Dental clinicians the ability to quantify an individual's risk of oral disease:

  • The Periodontal RiskCalculator™ assigns a risk and current disease score for periodontitis based on data collected during the course of a standard oral examination.
  • The Tooth RiskCalculator™ determines the likelihood (risk) that an individual will develop caries, root surface problems, or tooth fracture.
  • The Oral Cancer RiskCalculator™ measures the risk that the individual will develop oral cancer.
The widespread usage of PreViser technology within dentistry would save an estimated $6.8 bn per year, beginning the first year of utilization.

The Company intends to apply its patented risk assessment technology to other disease states, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, ocular diseases, and others.
