Treatment Option Plan Reports:
Basic Contents

The specific contents of a report will vary depending on the type of Risk Assessment and the type of report format. On this page we will review some elements that appear on all reports, and on the next pages we will look at contents unique to each type of report (for Perio and Caries).

Patient Reports are more graphical and more conversational in communicating the contents, speaking to the patient directly as "you" and offering more explanation.

Clinical Reports are more concise and less graphical, so they are more a textual data summary than the reader-oriented Patient Reports.

Patient-Friendly Terminology:

If you have selected to include "Patient-Friendly Terminology" in your default settings on your Options screen, or on a specific report on the Printing Options screen, the Patient Reports will express certain professional, medical terms using more "patient-friendly" terms, as compared on the chart below (For a full list of the lay terms subsituted for clinical terms, please refer to the resources posted online on the PreViser Support Center):

Report Headings:

Two heading sections at the top of all reports list details about who prepared the report (your practice) and who the report was prepared for (the patient).

Prepared By:
You determine what information about your practice appears on reports by the default settings on the Options page. This includes your name or the name of your practice, and any contact information you choose to include (address, website address, etc.). The "Date Prepared" is the date the Risk Assessment was finished and transmitted for calculation.

Prepared For:
The Patient's information displayed here comes from the Patient Details settings on the date of the Risk Assessment. The age is determined by the interval between the date of birth and the exam date. The patient's PreViser ID appears here, so printing a copy of the clinical report for the patient's file ensures that the record is complete and if it is transferred in the future, that practice can locate the PreViser ID easily.

Report Sections:

Two basic sections make up the content of each report. The first section covers the Risk and Disease Analysis for that individual, based on conditions the exam date. The second section is a Treatment Option Plan targeted to that individual's specific risk level and clinical signs and symptoms.

The library of Treatment Options, condition descriptions, health and risk analysis sections are authored and maintained by PreViser clinical experts. The RiskCalculator™ includes a stack-ranked list of optional treatments appropriate for the individual's risk and oral health.

Where appropriate, each of the treatment options have color-coded icons for easy visual reference:

green = Generally Most Effective
yellow = May Be Effective
red = Less Likely to Be Effective

A * indicates the procedure is used in special circumstances.

Treatments included in this library match the Treatments Performed screen in the data entry process of a Risk Assessment. For definitions of specific terms and treatments referred to in a Treatment Option Plan, you may wish to refer to the resources in the Appendix section.
