PreViser Workflow in your Practice

Incoporating the use of PreViser tools should not add a significant amount of work to your normal practice routine.

Currently, the application is designed for single-computer data entry, and requires only:

  • One desktop computer
  • Internet connection (dial-up or dedicated)
  • The PreViser application installed

Your practice can determine how best to implement this system, but below is an example of a normal daily workflow in a typical office environment using PreViser with a patient:

1. A Patient enters the office and checks in. The Front Desk staff sees that the patient is scheduled for a Risk Assessment.

2. The Front Desk staff provides the Hygienist/Dentist with the appropriate printout of a PreViser Risk Input Form (Caries or Perio).

3. If a Treatment Option Plan exists for this Patient, the Hygienist/Dentist enters on the Risk Form any Treatment Options that were applied since the last visit.

4. Radiographic films are taken and set for development.

5. The Hygienist/Dentist measures pockets (for Perio Risk) or examines teeth (for Caries Risk), and writes data onto the Risk Form.

6. The Hygienist/Dentist reads films and enters bone height onto the Risk Form.

7. The Risk Form is returned to the Front Desk staff, who enters Risk Form Data into the computer, sends it for Risk Calculation, and prints the resulting Treatment Option Plan for the Patient to take home.
