Perform a new Perio Risk and Disease Assessment

Clinical Data Gathering

The Perio Risk and Disease Assessment is a concise way to record information gathered during a routine periodontal examination, then transmit that data to produce a Treatment Option Plan for your or your patients’ reference.

The way you use PreViser in your normal office routine may vary depending on your staff and equipment. You may have more than one person gathering patient data during the exam, and you may have yet another person entering that data into a computer at a different time.

Generally, though, you will likely do one of the following:

  • Record the data into a portable (handheld) device during the exam.
  • Record the data directly into the PreViser software if there is a computer in the exam room.
  • Record the data on paper first: Print a Perio Risk Form, record the requested data on the paper form during the exam, then enter that data into a computer later.

This tutorial focuses on the steps of actually entering the data into the Risk Assessment screens.

Next, we will look at how to start a new Perio Risk and Disease Assessment.
