The Caries, Root, and Fracture Risk Assessment is a concise way to record information gathered during a routine dental examination, then transmit that data to produce a Treatment Option Plan for your or your patients’ reference. The way you use PreViser in your normal office routine may vary depending on your staff and equipment. You may have more than one person gathering patient data during the exam, and you may have yet another person entering that data into a computer at a different time. Generally, though, you will likely do one of the following: |

This tutorial focuses on the steps of actually entering the data into the Risk Assessment screens. The Caries, Root, and Fracture Risk Assessment involves more variables than a Perio Risk and Disease Assessment. You will see different screens in the process for each patient, depending on factors like the patient’s age or the type of Target Tooth. Sound complicated? Fortunately, you don’t have to worry about this! The PreViser application makes these selections automatically as you enter information, and only presents you with the screens and fields relevant for that patient’s combination of factors needed to determine the risk score. You can view in detail the entire set of possible screens and options, and the functional logic involved, in the Caries, Root, and Fracture Risk Assessment documentation in this User's Guide. Next, we will look at how to start a new Caries, Root, and Fracture Risk Assessment. |
